Togheter with partners, such as Energinet in Denmark, we accepted the challenge given by AI4Cities (Helsinki, Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Greater Paris, Stavanger and Tallinn):
How can AI and tech be used in cities to reach Net Zero Carbon?
To cut a story short, we competed with 100 other companies - and won. The Holoni solution, enabling cities to massively scale solar energy in the city, has been developed and piloted in Copenhagen.
The video below gives a quick intro to the project.
This video, made by AI4Cities, explains the competition they launched.
One of the solutoin we developed is the HOLONI Prosumer Analytics Tool, enabling cities to do deep analytics to support and enable massive scaling of solar in the city.
The tool uses machine learning and combines several data sources to ensure increased accuracy and versatility. It is built bottom-up with high granularity on the spatial domain (using point clouds and pixels) and in the time domain (hourly data). The tool may e.g. be used to develop solar strategies and policy, to do simulations of production, consumption, self-consumption of solar rooftop production and surplus, and to optimize, to segment, to estimate economics, to support energy communities, to empower citizens and building owners.
